I have just arrived home after spending a magical week at Lindos Village Resort & Spa. My mum and I decided to take a much needed break and I documented our adventure.

Our holiday didn’t have a great start unfortunately, being delayed for over three hours at Aberdeen airport and arriving in Rhodes during the early hours of the morning wasn’t what we had imagined. However we tried to not let this affect us and the hotel arrival certainly helped! As soon as we walked through the doors at the hotel we had such a wonderful welcome from the lobby staff. They did everything they could to help up settle in. From presenting us with wine and sandwiches, to a lovely boy called George escorting us to our room in a hotel vehicle so we didn’t even have to walk. We weren’t really aware of the size of the resort! Everything felt so fancy, there was even a complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us in the room. This of course satisfied my mum who loves free alcohol in general!

We both had a light sleep because we were over tired and far too excited. The following morning views on the balcony with that holiday heat didn’t disappoint. However there was only one plug in the room which became a problem for me and my work equipment. I told reception about this and by the next morning they had upgraded us to a suite!! My mum and I felt very grateful and thankful.

Our new room was situated in the shade on the first floor, with the surrounding 32 degree heat, we were very thankful! The aesthetic of the hotel was very pleasing. I creat a lot of content on my Instagram page and couldn’t get enough of the bright neutral surroundings.

Let’s talk food. Breakfast was probably one of my favourite parts of the day. You had the option of sitting in doors or out, we of course sat outside every day, the view were mezmerising. There were so many options to choose from. For cold food they had fresh fruit and salads, a cheese and bread selection, cereals, nuts and different flavours of yogurts. For hot food there were plenty of meat and vegan options, making any diet feel welcome. If you had any room left they also had a warm tasty selection of pastries and cakes…bliss!
